Pop Up Books

I've considered ways of presenting dreams. I thought about a set of images (which could be very beautiful but very difficult to 'read' as a dream unless a very common/obvious one is use - i.e. teeth falling out etc). I then considered dreams cards. Much in the same way a dream dictionary could work but in a different format.

I then thought about hidden and what that can/could mean. Dreams are hidden, the images only reveal themselves to the person who is dreaming. So what about pop up books? Because the popup is concealed until you open the book and it would add an interesting element to a potentially generic idea.
It could be a combination of images and information/analysis of dreams...

Alan Alberg's The Jolly Postman is also a good source - as he delivers letter the audience gets the chance to open the concealed letter/invite/gift inside and helps with the narration of the story.
